Why 3D encyclopaedia?
Documented knowledge transfer began from drawings in the cave wall by
our ancestor and lead to realistic paintings / sculptures before the
invention of camera, 2D is the only method for over 2 centuries
to provide pictorial description, and the advent of multimedia
especially 3D technology is the current medium that transfer thoughts
visually where picture speaks louder than words.
Book publishers will not produce this technology oriented visual
contents where the software is accessible free of charge to home user,
hence, no such jobs for artists and public funding is the only way not
as donation but cast your brand name permanently into the PDF ebook, no
other advertising method is timeless and this is a linear documentation
project.
The idea
Everything around us is created by someone’s parent, grandparent and
great-great grandparents, we may not invent something new but we can
improve the existing, why not upgrade the encyclopaedia into 3D display
but who will do it?
Preparation began in January 2006 but the idea cannot sell as a product
that prone to piracy and very expensive to produce, so we turn it into a
community based commercial sponsorship program where 40% of the money
goes back to referrers / users who are likely your relative or friends
and collect usable 3D contents at the same time.
Beginning with as low as US15.00 per chapter, each sponsor receives an
individualized 3D PDF with (logo banner) that link to their business website
and distribute as wish. If sponsors do not have a
website, a product page will be created in the PDF with contact info.
We do not compete with print publications in fact, the 3D interactive
contents is a visual aid to complement existing encyclopaedia & picture
dictionary, the same technology used in video game and movie are now in
education. It is time to bring static pictures to interactive 3D display where book has reached its limit long ago and
let the public drive the improvement than rely on profit driven
publishers.

We pay 40% commission to anyone who help acquire sponsors and will
continue to receive commissions of subsequent chapters, students is the
main user who refer relatives and earn some pocket money particularly to
pay for a computer and broadband service, each chapter is independent
and ready to publish before calling for sponsorships and preview is
accessible at 1catalogue.com, it is an open project without time
constrain.
Sponsors stay with the referrer and cannot be transferred, you can turn
it into a job and cultivate user group to learn 3D that promote a career
in the future, imagine 3D wedding album like scenes in the movie
replacing the old photo album, make 3D e-catalogue, comic and so on,
these product is expected and it has to start somewhere.

This publication include 3D files that serves as the basic building
block for anyone who wish to play, use in game or further develop into
animation while the pre-rendered content is meant for student & teacher
with simple descriptions where further details are sought from books or
credible source. Use in conjunction with free 3D software such as
Sketchup, trueSpace 7.6, Blender 3D and other game engines, we have abundant resources provided by those who give.
About the creator
Like any product & services, there will competitors, imitators and also
piracy. People don’t need to know who created it, what matters are the
quality contents and its relevancy that worth collecting, since it is
not profitable in business term, this publication offer part-time income
for artists otherwise unappreciated.
The real difference between people is knowledge and experience apart
from appearance, what you know I may not but you can tell me, what I can
do you can’t and I can show you. Money does not belong to anyone, it is
an exchange medium which in this case, visual education for publicity
and social responsibility that facilitate knowledge transfers.

persistent multi-disciplined individual can endure, my name is Philip
